Portrait: The new Ferrari Amalfi

Maranello Motors Managing Director Klaus Kordt is enthusiastic about the new vehicle, which represents a reinterpretation of the archetypal 2+ coupé berlinetta with a front-mid-engine V8. The Ferrari Amalfi redefines the concept of modern sportiness by harmoniously blending high performance, versatility, and refined aesthetics. It combines tradition and innovation in a design language that further develops Ferrari's aesthetic standards. The design team, led by Flavio Manzoni, developed a distinctly sculptural, modern form without abandoning the essence of the Ferrari 2+ sports cars. Klaus Kordt is particularly impressed by the Ferrari Amalfi's sleek "speed form", which gives it a strong and dynamic identity. The surfaces are minimalist, with sharp lines and geometric volumes defining a sculptural and harmonious body. The sculptural silhouette and clean surfaces convey modernity and dynamism.

The front of the vehicle is dominated by a large air intake and a long, elegantly sculpted hood. The front end lacks a grille. It is characterized by a body-colored, floating wing above a dark, recessed band into which sensors and headlights are discreetly integrated. The lower splitter completes the composition and emphasizes the visual width and sportiness of the whole. The wedge-shaped design of the flanks, together with the lighting units integrated into technical-looking recesses, contribute to a sophisticated and modern aesthetic.

The rear is characterized by a strong character line that extends around the entire volume and culminates in a compact, clean rear end. An integrated active spoiler contributes to stability at high speed, while forged wheels and carbon fiber details complete the sporty yet elegant aesthetic. The taillights are integrated into simple graphic recesses: they are reminiscent of classic Ferraris, yet simultaneously create a modern visual language.

The Ferrari Amalfi was presented to the world public in Verde Costiera, a vibrant blue-green. Inspired by the reflections of the sea along the Amalfi Coast, it gives the vehicle a vibrant look.

At the heart of the Ferrari Amalfi is a further developed twin-turbo V8 from the award-winning F154 family. Thanks to new turbocharger calibrations, it delivers 471 kW or 640 hp. The highly acclaimed eight-speed dual-clutch transmission ensures quick and smooth gearshifts. The Amalfi's performance figures are impressive: It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 9.0 seconds – and all this with a power-to-weight ratio of 2.29 kg/hp, the best in its class.

The interior of the Ferrari Amalfi is dominated by a dual cockpit, enclosing the driver and passenger in two visually connected areas. The integrated central display and ergonomically designed controls allow intuitive interaction with the model – even during dynamic driving. For the first time, the design team designed the dashboard monolithically; the instrument cluster and air vents merge into a single block. The center tunnel, milled from a single block of anodized aluminum, has a sculptural design and appears to float.

Klaus Kordt is certain: "The redesigned steering wheel will particularly impress Ferrari enthusiasts with the Ferrari Amalfi." It is again equipped with physical buttons, marking a return to tactile controls. The layout is designed for maximum ergonomics and easy recognition in every driving situation. On the left side, the legendary aluminum start button returns, creating a direct connection between driver and vehicle from the moment the ignition is turned on.

The 2+ configuration allows for temporary use of the rear seats, which significantly increases the functionality of the model, increases luggage capacity and enables trips with children.

The vehicle is currently undergoing homologation. No official figures are available yet.
